Serving And Inspiring Underprivileged Communities During The Holidays

Each December Wade's World Foundation celebrates the holidays by getting in the spirit with the "Three Under the Tree" series of events. This year Dwyane began by hosting over 300 kids from various youth and church organizations in South Florida at Santa's Enchanted Forest. Dwyane expressed to everyone that he remembered what it was like to grow up as a kid and not always have everything he wanted for the holidays. So, in return his goal was for every kid attending to have a fun filled afternoon as he remembers the holidays if anything, were always a fun time. Spending quality time with Dwyane, their friends and family; the kids were able to go on rides, play games, and enjoy a memorable afternoon.

Following tradition, Wade's World Foundation also donated $10,000 to three different organizations at the HEAT vs. Mavericks basketball game. Roberto Clemente Park, Athalie Range Park, and Dr. Martin Luther King Park were all recipients of this generous contribution. A check presentation was made center court at the game where representatives from each cause were acknowledged and provided the endowment.

To top of the "3 Under the Tree" series of events, Dwyane graciously provided 10 families with a shopping spree at the Midtown Miami Target. Each family received $1,000 to go shopping for Christmas presents and necessities. Dwyane even had a little fun of his own, and helped pick out items he thought the kids would enjoy. At the end of the day each family left graciously thanking Wade for the amazing opportunity he provided them.
