Michael Fux Foundation ZSG Youth Summit Hosted by Global Consumer Innovation

The ZSG Youth Summit was designed to open the lines of communication for today’s youth to discuss the real issues that are happening at this stage of their lives.

The emotional discussion touched on difficult issues including death, drugs and perseverance. Prominent leaders in the community, including Alonzo & Tracy Wilson Mourning, Dwyane Wade, Adam Kuperstein (NBC6), Roland Martin (CNN), Terrance J (BET’s 106 and Park), Cheryl James (aka Salt from Salt-N-Peppa), Sanna Lathan (actress), Gabrielle Union (actress), and more discussed issues they faced when growing up and listened to stories from their young audience.

This year’s Youth Summit took place on Saturday, July 11th at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and focused on violence including self-esteem/self-worth, peer pressure, avoidance and protection, and resolution. A local group, City of God, also performed their inspirational messages for the group.
